What information do we collect?

Sylvadale collects the names, addresses and contact information in the form of telephone numbers and email addresses from you as a customer as well as disability or chronic sickness information from customers that are claiming VAT disabled relief.

When visitors leave comments on our website www.sylvadale.co.uk we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.  After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to our website social media, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.So visitors to the website can not download and extract any location data from images.

People who contact us via social media

Our social media interactions are all managed in house. If you send a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored until it’s no longer required and will not be shared with any other organisations. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Sylvadale ensures that through our privacy policy your personal data is kept secure through the use of security measures across all our IT systems. We ensure that only employees who should have access to personal data do so. This is managed through training and regular checks. Any contractors that receive personal data on our behalf are governed by specific contracts to ensure that they do so securely and only for the purposes set out by Sylvadale Ltd.
